The beauty SOS box
So it’s that time of the month again already, heeyyy this month’s Glossy Box! (Catch up on the October Glossybox here) My first thought on this month’s box was how similar the packaging is to the Glossybox advent calendar. Maybe this is a sign of what’s to come in the advent calendar….I haven’t peaked, promise!
This beauty SOS box has changed my impression of Glossybox, after I was left feeling a bit disappointed in last month’s offerings. That bright pink lipstick *cough*. Read on to discover what I thought of the Glossybox November beauty SOS box.
Unboxing the beauty SOS box
So the November’s Glossybox is called the beauty SOS box. So as you can imagine, it’s packed full of beauty products to help us feel in tip top condition in this cold weather. (If like me, your skins struggling due to the change in weather, check out my recommended winter skin and beauty products here.)
In the box I got:
Huda Matte Lipstick in shade ‘Girlfriend’.
Stylondon Eaton Eyeshadow Palette
Balancing Skin Concentrate
Restore Mask Treatment
Nomade Eau De Perfume by Chloe
Glossybox November first impressions: beauty products
I was majorly excited to receive this month’s box after discovering it contained a full size Huda lipstick! Which considering they retail at £18, this November box is obviously a huge bargain. The Huda liquid matte lipstick came in shade ‘Girlfriend’. I’d describe the shade as a medium brown with a slight red under tone.
I absolutely love brown lip shades, so this was a very welcome addition to my ever expanding nude lip collection. However It’s much more runnier than other matte brands, so make sure to be careful when applying! But this formula is much less drying than other brands, which is perfect for this cold weather. ‘Cause no one loves a dry lip, do they? I drink far too many cups of coffee a day and only needed to apply the Huda liquid matte lipstick twice a day.
I’ve actually used the Stylondon Eaton Eyeshadow Palette everyday since I recieved this box. It’s got such lovely orange and dark pinky tones, which I think are the perfect shades for Autumn/Winter. Some shades are more pigmented than others. But overall I’m very impressed with this little palette and can’t wait to check out some other products from Stylondon!
Glossybox November first impressions: skincare
I popped on the Mirco-derm Regenerator after removing my makeup and my nose instantly went bright red…the joys of having sensitive skin! The consistency was a lot less harsh than most exfoliators though. So maybe one to try for you lot out there who don’t suffer with sensitive skin.
The Balancing Skin Concentrate is packed full of vitamins and green tea extracts. It promises to restore and maintain the skin’s natural balance within 28 days. After briefly testing it, it felt a lot more of a natural formula than the Mirco-derm Regenerator. And it smells lovely too! I’m definitely going to try this product out for the recommended 28 days.
I’ve been after a new hair mask for a while…long, thick hair is really hard to keep on top of, you know! This left my hair feeling super soft and nourished. Although I wish it smelt a bit nicer. Because I’m a bit of a sucker of a nice smelling shampoo and conditioner!
I thought the Nomade Eau De Perfume by Chloe was such as lovely addition to this month’s box. Chloe product such classic feminine fragances. And Nomade is no exception to this.
