Smith & Sinclair have solved the dilemma of buying for that person who really does have everything.
Last week I was lucky enough to get invited to the Smith & Sinclair blogger pop up event, at Trinity Leeds. I’d not actually heard of the brand before attending the event. So I was super excited to see what it was all about! Read on to discover more about Smith & Sinclair and their range of gift ideas with a difference.
About Smith & Sinclair
The brand was born when founders, Mel and Emile, discovered how well their newly invented alcoholic gummies were going down at an adult dating event. From popular demand, they expanded their range of gummy sweets and created their edible perfume range (yes, you read that right!).
Smith & Sinclair’s brand ethos is for adults to live their lives with the same level of curiosity they did as children…but just with a splash of booze to fuel the adventure!
The perfect gift for your other half?
So we decided to break out the alcoholic gummy cocktails and edible perfume during a recent date night. The alcoholic gummy cocktails went down reasonably well! Each gummy contains half a shot of alcohol and is also completely vegan, amazing right?
I really enjoyed the taste of the Mocha Expresso Martini and the Strawberry Daiquiri. Although they are very very sugary (I wasn’t complaining) but these probably aren’t the best gift for diabetics.
Lick your scent: edible perfume?
I absolutely love the smell of the Smith & Sinclair edible perfume in pear and vanilla. I love anything with a vanilla flavour or scent anyway, so this product was a huge hit! Keeping it PG, I really liked the taste of it…but that couldn’t be said for everyone.
The point of this edible perfume is to spray it into your drink, so you’ll then be able to taste the lovely fragrance as you sip your cocktail. However, it probably wasn’t the best idea to try this with vanilla gin, so we didn’t get much of an effect. Which was a little bit disappointing, as I was expecting great things from this little bottle!
Although I do plan to test this with a non-vanilla flavoured drink (silly Luce!) So I’ll be sure to post a little update on Twitter soon.
