The Blogger Bradford Exchange night
Recently, I was lucky enough to be invited to the blogger exchange night in Bradford. For everyone who doesn’t know, Bradford is super easy to get to from Leeds! It’s roughly a 20 minute drive from my house in Leeds. And there’s excellent transport links, especially as the Exchange (the cinema/food complex) is right next to the Bradford interchange. Read on to find out all about the Blogger Bradford Exchange night…
What food is on offer at Bradford Exchange?
There’s lots of food options available at Bradford Exchange! There’s a Frankie and Benny’s, a Nandos…and if you haven’t already guessed, a Pizza Hut! You always seem to find these restaurants are near cinemas don’t you? But with great deals, tasty food and the veggie and vegan options available, it’s hardly surprisingly these restaurants are a always a huge hit on a leisure complex.
At the Blogger Bradford Exchange night I opted for the cheesy bites starter…thank god these finally come as a starter, i’m literally obsessed with them! And the stuffed crusted chicken supreme for main. My pizza was super tasty. The base was perfect for me, as I hate a thick base. And the toppings tasted nice and fresh!
Pizza Hut currently has a load of great deals on at the moment. As you can now get two courses, a salad bowl and a drink for £15.99. So you can definitely get your hands on a whole lot of food without breaking the bank!
Post food activities
After stuffing my face with pizza, we headed to Hollywood Bowl for some (quite strong) cocktails and a few games of very competitive bowling. I haven’t been bowling since I was in 6th form…so a very long time! But I forgot how much of a laugh a game of bowling can be. Although I refuse to admit bowling with the ramps up is cheating!
What really stood out for the night was the impressive cocktail menu at Hollywood Bowl! I’d have never associated Hollywood Bowl with a good drinks menu before. But tipsy bowling sounds like an ideal date night, doesn’t it?
There’s also a Cineworld next door, so if you don’t fancy giving bowling a go. You can always relax with a tango ice blast, a giant bag of popcorn and if I get my own way….a romcom.
What’s the parking like?
Usually near cinemas, the parking is typically free. However, with the Bradford Exchange literally being in the city centre, you’ve got to pay for parking. I paid £3 and parked all evening which wasn’t too bad. However, I’d have preferred it if the restaurants, cinema or bowling could have reimbursed it, which is often the case.
Rating the night
I spent my childhood Friday nights in Pizza Hut or Frankie and Benny’s, followed my a trip to cinema. So it was nice reliving those childhood memories. Plus now i’m the only person who decides if I get an ice cream factory or not…always a bonus! But for a cute date night option that doesn’t involve fancy bars or crazy golf (my usual favourites!) I reckon a trip to an Exchange complex instead, just like the one in Bradford, would go down a treat.
