Lottie London: a review

March’s beauty brand of the month

So my beauty brand of the month feature is still going strong three months in (catch up with January’s and February’s brands now!) So if you haven’t noticed, March’s beauty brand of the month is Lottie London. I’ve never actually tried any Lottie London products before, but my friend highly recommended them. Read on to discover more about the brands and see which products I picked up in my haul…

About Lottie London

Lottie London is all about selfie-ready beauty! They let you re-create your favourite beauty blogger techniques and makeup looks without the high-end price tag. They claim all their products are super pigmented, whilst still being vegan and cruelty-free. You can purchase their products directly from the Lottie London website or you can pick them up in Superdrug.

My Lottie London Haul

So the first item I picked up was the Lottie London Got It Covered Concealer. Unfortunately, they had limited colours available in Meadowhall Superdrug, so I’d have preferred to have gone a shade lighter. Just because I think going a shade lighted makes me appear a little more awake and wide-eyed! I picked the shade ‘Maple’ up, which is 3rd from lightest. But I still think it blends really well.

I think this concealer is basically a dupe of Mac Pro long wear, which is my favourite ever concealer. I’ve used Mac Pro long wear for years now, just because I just love the coverage and shades that much. But surprisingly, each morning, I’ve found myself reaching for Got It Covered again and again. The coverage is very similar, and it stays on all day after spraying with setting spray.

I picked up the Slay All Day liquid lipstick in ‘Hey Bae’. I really loved the colour and texture! Although I don’t think it stays in place all day. I drink a lot of coffee on a daily basis, which means I have to top my lipstick up regularly. But at the same time, I don’t think I have to top this colour up any more than my favourite shades by Too Faced or Mac.

The last product I picked up was the Duo Chrome Lipgloss in shade ‘Hola’. The Holographic range is a brand new collection from Lottie London, containing lipglosses, eyeliners and highlighters…obviously! Hola is super pretty and really pigmented, but I think it’s a bit extra for the office. I think it’s the perfect shade for summer, festival and holiday vibes though.
