Leather and knits

Following up from my previous styling leather post (click here to view!), here is a much more edgier look. Well for me anyway! Also apologies for the quality of the images, shooting at twilight off a samsung wasn’t the smartest idea…Who knew?

This is my favourite look of two, as it’s just so different from anything i’d normally wear! Being as self conscious as I am about my legs, leather trousers are a massively brave choice for myself. But after wearing a £500 Gestuz pair for a previous shoot ,which were literally more than my rent, (see them here and here!) I was soooo desperate to get my mitts on a pair myself! But obviously at a fraction of that price, and preferable not from a cow. These pair were an absolute bargain for £15 from New Look. Although there was a new season promotion on, and I used student discount. Being 5ft3 and a size 6, the struggle is real to find a pair that actually fit, and are flattering! The fitting is slightly too big on my waist/stomach though, but I find New Look’s sizing tends to be on the larger side anyway.
The jumper is from Topshop, and was £42. And I’m absolutely obsessed with it! Nothing says winter like statement knitwear. And in an monochrome loose fitting, it’s still formal enough for the office. I also styling this jumper with black skinny jeans and over the knee boots I worn in my previous shoot.
And let’s not forgot about those leopard boots! They were on the pricey side at £75, and also from Topshop. But they’re just beaut aren’t they? They also cut off at the perfect point, so my 5ft3 legs look a little bit longer. I also love styling them with #allblackeverything, just so the boots make a real statement.
What do you think of the leather trend this season? let me know in the comments!
